135 King St.
This window's display is inspired by the 18th century English Christmas carol, "The Twelve Days of Christmas". The melody popularly used today originates from an arrangement composed in 1909 by Frederic Austin.
Fun fact about this residence's history: The LHS weekly school newspaper in 1924 was The Purple Pepper. That year John A. Stover (1905-1980) was a senior, and one of the paper’s founders. Then a resident of 135 King St., he went on to become an advertising agent and founder of Grandmother Stover’s Manufacturing Co., maker of dollhouse miniatures. (writeup by Joyce Harvey)
