The Polar Express

123 E. Mulberry St.
This window is inspired by the 1985 illustrated children's book, The Polar Express.

From the history of this residence: John O. James, a merchant from Cincinnati, moved to Lancaster in 1897 and purchased an interest in the Lion dry goods store. He then built this new residence and deeded it to his wife for a Christmas present in Dec. 1905. “The house is a new brick structure with all modern conveniences and is prettily located on Mulberry Hill.”
